review 1: I really loved this book! Great story, great character development! My only complaint isn't really with the book so much as the story continues on into the next book and I can't seem to keep my interest in it. :( I was excited to know how their story unfolds but the beginning is dragging and my eyes have wondered to another book so while the first book was great, the story is by no means over so I feel like I'm not getting to find out the ending because it's boring me. Grrrr.
review 2: The first 25% of this book I was very confused. There were at least 50 characters introduced and I couldn't keep track of anyoneSo basically this is about a girl who is a lunarmorte (werewolf) but unbeknownst to her she is also has witchy powers. So her uncle wants to kill h... moreer because all this stuff happens, and there a love triangle, and there's Lucien who is really really attractive and some stuff goes downI know this is a vague review but there's a lot of backstory to this!Anyways I still really liked this book, towards the end there was a lot of action, and there was a lot of answers to my questionsThe ending was so so but I think I would go on to continue the series less

I liked Samantha Young's other series, "On Dublin Street", so I thought I would give this YA paranormal series a try. Unfortunately, this book was a fail for me. I couldn't not immerse myself into the book because I felt like I started in the middle of the series instead of starting at the beginning of the first book. I kept waiting for things to be explained to me, but the plot was rolled out in a fashion that did not grip me. It made me very frustrated when I read the book.I am not too fond of YA books, but figured with Samantha Young's writing skills, I might like this YA book a lot. That was not the case, and I am very disappointed with this book.

it was really good writing and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the plot or story line. The world was fascinating as well but the characters didn't go well with me. On some other day, I would have loved reading about super alpha males but my mood has been a little bit bitter these past few days so it didn't sit well with me. I'm not sure if I'll go on and read the second book but I went ahead and got the two remaining books. We'll see.
