A Liv Bergen Mystery

review 1: As in her first two books, the action picks up really quickly to where it takes your breathe away. Liv is a great character with a sharp mind and finally gets more time with Streeter Pierce. Elements from the prior book are woven into this one, but is a great stand alone read. I love that it is set in an area I know nothing about but recognize the tough and independent nature of small town people. Just love these books!
review 2: I thought that the book got off to a slow start. I was eager to bring the different people in the story together. I don't really think that that ever really happened the way I was expecting it too. I really like the character Liv, but I would like to hear more about her on a personal level. I feel like the author held back on letting u... mores get close to the characters. I loved the author's details on the history of the Black Hills area. I read the entire book, but it was hard to hold my attention at a lot of points in the book. I am looking forward to reading more in the Liv Bergen series because I do think that the character has potential to develop into a character that I have to read more about. less
