review 1: This book was very different, in more ways than one. It was centered around the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. If you were not a fan of the old 50s - 70s sitcoms - The Dick Van Dyke Show, Hart to Hart, etc. - you're going to have a hard time following parts of the book. There are a lot of references to the sitcoms. The book was laugh-out-loud funny in parts, very sweet in parts, and somewhat slow moving at times. The storyline was chick lit cute. Daniel was adorable with Shannon. On the romance side it was lacking, in my opinion. When the first kiss occurs on the last page of the book with an assumed happily-ever-after ending, that's not a romance. It doesn't even have an epilogue. As far as a series, both books are fairy tale themed, nothing more. No over lapping charac... moreters.
review 2: My Review: Sandra Bricker can write ya'll! She has much talent, she is able to write a perfect plot line filled with lots of humor. Rise & Shine, is an interesting modern twist on the classic fairy tale, "Sleeping Beauty". Shannon Malone, wakes up from a 10 year come to find out her life is completely different than when she fell into it all those years ago. First of all, she has a hard time adjusting to the fact that she has aged another ten years and while she was quietly sleeping her poor husband past away. It's hard enough having to adjust to being asleep for that long much less losing the love of your life. But just the fact that the lead character has been asleep for ten years isn't the only thing that can be compared to the classic fairy tale, Sleeping Beauty. She also has someone out to get her that doesn't think she should get the Ridgeway's money. But you know that it won't be long and Shannon will be looking for love again. Keep your eyes on this one, its a winner!**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from CFBA. less

I liked this book much better than the first in the series. I just wish it had an epilogue.

I really loved this book, the ending was a bit abrupt, but still a wonderful read.

I liked the book but I felt the ending was just thrown together and rushed.
