review 1: I just finished reading this first book in a series of 4 books to date. I liked the story with its werewolves, shifters and children of gods --but damn was overwhelmed by the number of characters that were introduced. Not a book you can read tired. If i had to guess I'd say i was introduced to 40 guys in 250 pages --all with different alliances. I'm hoping to see more of each in the next book.
review 2: I don't know why I bother. I already said a million times I didn't like Sandrine Gasq-Dion's style and I still try. I'm probably a masochist.Anyway. The relationship is way too naïve, too fluffy, too sweet, unrealistic for me. And obviously they are all gay and you pretty much know they'll all end up with their bodyguards. She didn't have to tell about fifty
... more characters in one story. It felt like she was only introducing everyone for the next books to come. In the end, Skylar and Justice's stories suffered from it.And the changing point of view in the same paragraph? So not a good idea. It's confusing as hell. And Justice being a virgin but totally experienced and perfect in bed? Pfft. Yeah, right. Again, I find Sandrine Gasq-Dion's stories too cheesy and lacking in maturity. I shouldn't persevere, you're gonna think I'm just trying to critic her. But it's totally not my intention. Her style obviously please to a lot of people. I'm just not the target. less
