review 1: I was really enjoying this book right up until the moment when the main character faces the antagonist. I was expecting a bare knuckles, drawn out, dragged out, gruesome fight; though the adversary does meet his fate and, though it is unpredictable how things end for him, it's...dumb. He went from being so terrifying and freakishly intelligent, able to think 50 moves ahead...to being a total and utter buffoon. I know this book is a work fiction, but people's personalities, whether real or imagined, don't change that quickly...ever.
