review 1: If anyone had told me that I would be not only reading, but heavily invested in, a series that is over 4000 pages I would have laughed in your face. Not anymore.There are a few books that I've read that make me feel that I am involved in the world that the characters inhabit, and ICoS is probably at the near top of that list, I finished this late last night, and I'm still half in it.The world building, even after 3 (or 4 ) books there's still information filtering through about post war life, sometimes it feels like everyone lives on a compound then a glimpse of life outside.While the bigger picture plot is complicated, and there is so much happening it's becoming clearer (I think/ hope) that there is an endgame and some hope. Looking forward to that in Book 4.What a cast ... moreof characters,I want some kind of resolution for all of them, but especially for Sin + Boyd, there are some descriptions of love in The Interludes that were really emotive for me. Such kudos to Sonny + Ais for being so generous in making this free.Maybe more to follow,
review 2: this was probably the most exciting of the first 2 books. and i think because they added Emilio and Zachery's characters story more and it wasn't all about Boyd and him over-thinking everything, that it seems better. i really do like Emilio, especially his love for Zachary..it so sweet and kinda makes my heart ache that for all those years through every one night stand and stunts he pulled, its all to get Zachary's attention...i find it very endearingNow moving to HSIN and BOYD.. somehow, i don't like how he calls the shots in their relationship-i mean he decides to breakup, they do and after fucking Kassien and has gotten bored from the not so ever presence of danger he decides he still loves Hsin and wants to continue their toxic affair. it just not right. To me a Hsin does not need Boyd, yes Boyd helped him and talked to him when no one did but due to Boyd's personality i don't think they are good for each other.Hsin NEED A FRIEND THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE TO FUCK TO BE WITH. he needs someone that can just listen and talk to him without trying to over analyze everything. THEY ARE NOT GOOD TOGETHER..THAT'S MY OPINION.....NEXT AND LAST ------FADE. less
