review 1: I can honestly say that after being on a reading bonanza (sick for 4 days off work so all I've being doing is eating sleeping and reading) was all those books I read just pale in comparison to these "lived in" characters of ICOS, the contrast is just astounding. Nothing to discredit the books I enjoyed just completely different level of story writing that is simply stunning. I forgot how good it could be and how good it was and it took my breath away and now its hard to garner any sort of enthusiasm for anything that is not superbly written. The stories are so well thought out that you feel and instant connection to a bunch a people who you thought you wouldn't ever see again. I was taken aback how much I enjoyed the other stories besides Hsin & Boyd and of course Zach... more & Emilo. I think Doug is going to turn into a favourite and how interested I was with Vivienne and Jeffery. Now its going to be a lot harder to find things that capture my reading interest when your use to awesome everything starts to look meh.
review 2: I cannot believe I am actually giving this book 2 stars....I was dying for some more Sin, Boyd, Emilio, Carhart and all the others... But this was just plain boring...It does give us some clue as to what all of the old Agency crew is doing, but that's it. It gives us a chapter per couple and we get a tiny glimpse in the lives they are living. Let's just say all of them are still running...Okay, I have to go cry now... Have to accept that there will be no more Sin and Boyd to read... I will just have to do a re-read of the entire series soon.. less
