review 1: This starts off with a bang, and keeps the suspense going throughout. A young boy is thrown overboard, a youngish woman makes a snap decision to jump off a ferry to save him, and suddenly her life is heading down a very different path. Along the way the author encourages thoughts about what constitutes a family and how that impacts the people we become. I look forward to Henry's second in the series.
review 2: I ended up really liking this, in spite of my concerns expressed in the "Progress" section regarding the growing romantic plot line (I am not a romance genre fan, generally speaking). ... morethe human and emotional aspects steadfastly held my interest. less

This is a fast moving thriller, hard to believe at times but that didn't dampen my enjoyment.

An interesting plot with a big twist at the end, but I found the writing style very poor.

Good story. Author gives nothing away and keeps you involved all the way through.
