review 1: 4.5 stars. Awesome, just awesome!!!What a start! Loved this book. It gripped me from page one and I loved everything in it. Sara Wolf made me fall in love with her writing with the Lovely Viscious series and with this first installment of the EVE- chronicles she definitely secured her spot on my TopFav authors along with JL Armentrout and Richelle Mead. The ones I will buy anything from without even reading the blurb first. LOL There's suspense, wonderful tension, fabulous evolvement of different relationships, humour and adventure. And Shadus and Taj. Now when is the next book coming??? ;)
review 2: Awesome plot line, brilliant dialogue, extremely well written with heaps of food for though moments...simply put leaves you with anticipation for the next instalme
... morent. Its not just a book that centers around the characters themselves but there are massive undertones of concepts from postcolonial theory and human egocentrism, highlighting issues of racism and fear of the "other".It was a simple yet intellectually satisfying read (I hope that doesn't deter anyone)its just a great book that any fan of the genre should afford themselves the pleasure to read. less
