review 1: I think that anyone can see that the sex scenes in this book are over-the-top and unrealistic for some. Looking past that, I fell in love with the characters Sally Mae and Tucker and even Bella and Sam. I liked Bella and Sam in this book and I liked imagining their relationship better than I did when I read Sam's Creed. I expected more from Sam's story after reading this one. This was the first book I read by Sarah McCarty and I enjoyed it. The whole time I was hoping for Tucker's happiness and appreciating how realistic the characters were. I wasn't distracted by the way Sally Mae talks. I thought that it was cute. I remember that I didn't like her name, but even that grew on me as the pages turned. It took me seven days to read this book. In that time I was really wonder... moreing how things would turn out and what would happen to this couple.
review 2: AMAZING! Everything connects in this book! The first two of Sarah McCarty's books left me with happy endings and a desire to know more about the lovers. This book is so involved with almost all of the characters introduced to us in the first two books.I had actually read her books out of sequence, skipping this one because of a review that said, Sally Mae was annoying with her use of Thy, Thee, Thou. Let me just assure you, you wouldn't even mind it with Sally Mae and Tuckers romance! It is a beautiful love, and another one of her great books in the Hell's Eight Series! I couldn't put it down, and couldn't allow myself to finish it too fast. I spend the whole of Saturday savoring and devouring it and I was still rushing to finish it at the very end. I will be going back to this book soon, for sure! If you haven't read it yet, go pick it up now! less
