Tales from the Kingdoms
review 1: Two dresses, two ugly step sisters, two magical nights to remember and one love that seemed almost destined. Charm is a vivid recreation of our beloved Cinderella who fell madly in love with the Prince. However, Charm is a novel filled with twists and turns that leave us shocked, internally screaming, or wanting another fix. what we are given, is not what we thought.Much like the other 'Tales from the kingdoms' Sarah Pinborough has mastered the art of merging our most loved fairy tales into one 200 page novel, and making one love story apart of another. After reading Charm, you realise that, everything, everyone, wears a mask, to hide our true nature, our darkest secrets or to protect the ones we love. You realise that what we look for, isn't always in the things we see, b... moreut more or less need to be looked for. The author is a true story teller.
review 2: I got this book from my local library as a blind date for a valentines event. The book was wrapped in construction paper with only hints as to what I might find inside. I was actually quite surprised. It was a fast, easy, enjoyable and humorous read. While I struggled with the author's particular style (comma over use and run on sentences in the beginning) these items vanished or became less noticeable as the story progressed and I got caught up in the fast moving plot. less
