review 1: Light fiction about a young mom with a dream: to market her organic-but-tasty baby food. She puts a lot on the line to realize her dream, jeopardizing relationships with her husband, kids, and babysitter; taking financial risks; taking advantage of her one employee. There are a few parallels to the movie "Baby Boom" with Diane Keaton. It's an enjoyable novel and there are even a few recipes included. In some ways I think the author stopped JUST short of a hilarious satire with this one. A fun read for when you're looking for something light with some funny moments.
review 2: This is a very funny book. Sarah sends up the whole healthy food scene, while still demonstrating for us its importance. Julia loses sight of so many other important things in her journey
... more -- though her loving family helps her to regain them -- that it would be easy to dismiss her overzealous focus on food. But Sarah makes her both very real and sympathetic. We can laugh at Julia -- and I did loudly at many times -- but we must also listen to her. less

The book's characters are paper dolls, with solutions too easy, and an ending far, far too neat.
