I am going to make an attempt to participate In Nancy Merrill’s photography challenge for 2017. You can read about the challenge here. Basically, she comes up with a theme and posts a photo that she think fits the theme on each Thursday. My task(as well as others following her meme) is to interpret her theme and post a photograph that I think fits the theme before the following Thursday, when a new theme is started.
This week’s theme is “Hidden Treasures”. In a quiet residential area of Winnipeg, in a back lane, there is a hidden treasure. It is called Back Alley Arctic and is the work of Winnipeg artist Kal Barteski.
Double click on the photo below to discover what is painted on the garage door at the end of this back alley:
Yes…that is a polar bear!
There are actually quite a few painted garage doors, paintings on the cement and smaller paintings displayed all along the lane(41 animals in all)…and a lot of them will be shown over the next several weeks on my Monday Mural posts. So keep coming back and checking to see more of Back Alley Arctic!
