review 1: I thought this was a fun book to read and I did fall in love with the sisters. I thought the store was a great way to help develop their individual characters and to let me know that the Amish are real too, that they also have regular relationships within their families. Glad that this story did not dwell so much on a love story, but the relationships with the sisters and the way that they interact with each other. A relaxing read.....the story did leave me wanting to find out more....I guess that is why there is a part two......
review 2: The Divine Secrets of The Whoopie Pie Sisters book one, An Amish Christian Trilogy by Sarah PriceThe Divine Secrets of The Whoopie Pie Sisters is about four sisters who own and operate a bakery in Holmes County Ohio and the
... moreir teenage brother Tobias. Leah, Susan, Lydia and Sadie each have their own area in the bakery they excel in. However, secrets in their personal home lives also impact their working together at the bakery causing mounting tensions. Add to this it appears Tobias is sick again and maybe even his youngest sister. Can they confide in each other and offer support before it is too late? As the story unfolds we see not only family tensions, but health problems and other daily life problems. I enjoyed the book once I figured out who was who. However, I found the bickering among the sisters a little tiring without any resolutions in sight.I received an e-copy of this book for a review. less
