review 1: Considering this is the first book written by this author, I must say the theme of the book was perfect but everything else...not so much. I thought the relation of cat lives to the main character's life was stupid considering what the book was about. I thought the main character's, Dani, was selfish and her actions were stupid considering she has a twin sister with cancer. I was hoping that everything she did would MAKE SENCE!!!! but it didn't :( I just thought what Dani didn't really explain her situation and trying to kill yourself doesn’t save anyone else. The ending of the book confirmed my prediction of the moral of the story and I was disappointed. Someone should have at least died, I think that would have spiced up the book and stirred at least an ounce of emotio... moren inside my soul. I wish it went into more detail, nothing was explained very well and I would have liked to know more about the cancer. I'm just really disappointed at how little the author explained and went into depth with. I think that is the only reason I would cry over this book. The characters were emotionless, the environment was basically described as well as you can describe crap (dull and stinky), and things happened way too fast and just didn't make sense. Definitely not one of my favorite books but ya I liked it. How ironic.......
review 2: I liked it. Read it in one night. I didn't like the ending, or lack there of. I was waiting for the typical one way or the other outcome that you assume will happen, but it didn't. Maybe that would have been too cliche but I wanted to know how things turned out. I was instantly searching for more Sarah Wylie books and was more than disappointed that there are currently no more to be found. Will definitely be watching for her next one! less
