review 1: I bought this book for my daughter because I love Jesus Calling written for adults. This is a great devotion book for kids but I would recommend a parent reading/discussing a few to check for understanding. I bought this for my daughter in 3rd grade and we read many together. She is in 5th grade now and reads it on her own a few times a week and has a true understanding of the writer's message.
review 2: This 365 daily readings devotional is an absolute must read to kids! I read it to my children every night, and even bought copies to send to the orphans we sponsor in Sierra Leone. I have the adult version, which is great as well - but this book is just beautifully written and shows the loving-kindness of our gracious God. My kids will NOT let me get away... more without reading it to them before bed, even if it is a really late night and we are exhausted, they just love hearing about how Jesus wants them to come to him with everything. The book is written as if from Jesus to the reader, scriptures are included and more are referenced for further study if desired. Love, Love, Love less
