review 1: I wanted to like this book, but is just didn't click with me.I part it was because of the m/m, which just isn't for me, but in part also because of how the story was written. It has a "real" vibe to it, but everything just flows so smoothly it doesn't feel 'real' enough. I'd want something in the bedroom not working out so that they could have a tension-releasing laugh over it and get on with the nasty. This story is a novella, so too short for a novel but too long for a short story. In such a short story without any real conflict I don't see the need for multiple viewpoints and would much rather have read this from a single perspective.
review 2: I love Sasha White's voice. This is a short story at around 40 pages, and it jumps right into the action. It felt li
... moreke we might have met Angie and Rick in a previous short story of White's but I can't figure out which one, and perhaps it's just because White does a good job of immediately making the couple feel familiar, settled, and likable. The story centers around the addition of Mark, their mutual friend, to the relationship, and the story is mainly super-hot love scenes with the nice bonus that we see all 3 POV's--the first person female narrator style for which White is known for, and two secondary third person POV's for Rick and Mark which add depth and emotional impact. The story works exceptionally well as a short story where the primary goal is to showcase the love scenes and to overcome the minor conflict of the three parties realizing their existing feelings for each other. If you prefer more plot and conflict with character development to round out the super sexy scenes, I highly recommended White's full length books, particularly Bound and My Prerogative. less
