review 1: The story is interesting to read because Maria is sort of a interesting person to read about. However, at the same time she also annoyed the hell out of me. Sometimes the way she acted was just selfish. I also think the author was more trying to tell the story than building the characters around it. I couldn't just feel for them, not even in times I maybe should.Everyone seems to be all shocked about the plot twist at the end of the story, but I saw it coming from miles away, it really was predictable. After that I didn't really care how it was going to end. I know I'm pretty negative about the book, my rating however isn't really that negative because even though it wasn't really that good, it wasn't that bad either. It was an easy read, and sometimes that's ... moreokay.
review 2: Ik vind dit een spannend en boeiend boek. Toen ik het boek las zat ik helemaal in het verhaal en was het moeilijk om te stoppen met lezen. Ik kan me zeer goed inleven in de hoofdpersoon, omdat het verhaal goed is geschreven.In het boek gebeuren steeds vreemde dingen, waardoor je erg benieuwd ben hoe het afloopt. Het boekt leest makkelijk weg, het taalgebruik is niet moeilijk. Ik had tot de laatste moment niet door wie de dader was, omdat er heel veel verdachten waren. Telkens als je denkt dat je weet wie de dader is, komt er weer tegenbewijs. less
