review 1: This was an interesting story and I found myself relating to the main character and her ideals. The more I read the more entranced I became. I hope to read more from Ms. Fox in the future. Her writing style and techniques gave me a real sense of characters and plot development. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the emotional connection between the two main characters seemed to happen to quickly to be realistic or believable.
review 2: Questo libro mi ha davvero stregata. Non riuscivo più a staccarmene, sebbene non sia originalissimo nè scritto in modo eccelso. Anzi, la scena iniziale mi è sembrata forzata e totalmente ingiustificata. Eppure l'autrice si è subito riscattata. Ha saputo catturarmi con una trama ricca, sviluppata con ritmo e brio; con un trat... moreteggio accurato dei personaggi, principali e secondari; con la costruzione accurata e credibile della nascita di un sentimento; e con una suspense, perfida, ma accattivante, che fino all'ultimo mi ha fatto disperare sul lieto fine. Insomma, uno stile che ha saputo catturarmi e mi ha tenuto incollata fino all'ultima pagina. Unica pecca il finale che avrei voluto più sviluppato. Attendo con ansia il seguito e sto pensando seriamente di cercare qualcos'altro, magari scritto con il nome Susan Lyons. less
