review 1: A lesser woman would quail under the knowledge that she is with child and couldn’t remember a single thing about the father of said child, or how she came to be in her predicament. Not so with Queen Shifter Lily Ruckler. While there are a lot of questions, and residual pain from being in this situation, she doesn’t allow her subjects to see her sweat. While engaged in a brutal war with the Commoners, Lily goes on about her business, reveling in the comfort that combat brings to her life, and of course the love she has for her baby. When she and her entourage return to the US, Lily finally gets to meet King Zeller, with whom she feels an immediate connection, even though she believes she doesn’t know him, nor has she ever known him. Soon, secrets they weren’t privy t... moreo prior to this meeting have come to the fore, and they are re-kindling the love and the passion they once had in spades. However, they are forced to hide their reactions from the enemy who could very well be watching to exact another form of retribution against them for some real or perceived wrong they don’t even recall participating in. The author continues to wow readers with her prowess at writing romance in the midst of an action-packed paranormal story. Read this newest installment of the Forever Evermore Series and see how Dawn neatly ties up Lily and Ezra’s story in the saga before moving on to the next in the series.
review 2: Disappointing. King Hall was terrific, King Cave was less so and this book left me confused. I still enjoyed the characters and their twisted ways, but the best part of King Hall was the relationship between Ezra, Lily, Jack and Pearl, and the second book had less of Jack and Pearl, while the third book took them out completely. **Spoilers**The resolution of the continuing story line with Philip Masterson was a complete gyp, and I was extremely confused with the Epilogue between Elder Harcourt (who is apparently masterminding lives so far back that he got Lily's mom to send her to her abusive uncle to live so Lily would hate him then shoot him on graduation day thereby making a hole in the window for air during the attack on the Mys??? Completely whacked.) and whoever Julia is, that completely came from left field. I don't understand what we were supposed to get from that so I feel as though I missed some huge part of the story. I am left with mixed feelings. less
