review 1: * ARC PROVIDED BY THE AUTHOR FOR AN HONEST REVIEW * Finding Parker by Scott Hildreth. I have read quite a few books from Scott Hildreth and he is a really amazing author. He has grown in his work. This book was completely different from the other books that I have read of his. The book had an easy flow to it. I laughed and cried but that’s what makes it a good book. This book is beautiful story about love, life and loss. This book also has friendship and family finding each other in the most likely places.Parker Bale is a gentleman with a very unique past, Parker completed college and is on the hunt for a job. Almost immediately, he is offered the career of a lifetime. His new assignment? Find a woman to love. His boss is Kenton Ward - a self-made millionaire wit... moreh a strange desire to witness a love he never had an opportunity to experience. One small catch...Parker must sign a contract with Kenton, binding him to conditions of the search for a woman. Eagerly, he signs the document without reading the legal language. Victoria Fisker doesn’t trust people, has no faith in the male species and lives a quiet life keeping to herself and caring for her narcotic addicted mother.Victoria is an amazing heroine. She is strong, manages her situations without drama, and has immense respect for herself, while still being all girly over Parker. The way that Parker and Victoria come together is a bit unconventional but you know what they say about thinking outside the box and embracing whatever comes there way. It’s about taking risks and finding love in the right place and then following your heart.I love the family dynamic between Kenton, Downe’s, and Parker and Victoria the series discussion and witty banter between them make you laugh. You can see the love between the characters. Can Victoria learn to trust? Can they both overcome their past? Will Parker feel right falling in love with Victoria with the contract hanging over his head?Written by Tracy M. for Summer’s Book Blog
review 2: This was a different read for me, but it was good. I am not use to reading romance written by a man and it was very well done. It was a pretty easy book to read and was not angsty at all. Parker is a really good guy and is not your typical male lead. He isn't a manwhore at all. Not even a little. He isn't controlling at all. He is just an all around good guy and is pretty intelligent. This is a really clean read, with a lot of life lessons. It was not at all what I was expecting, but that being said it still held my attention. Victoria was a great female lead. She was independent, strong and foul-mouthed :) She stood up for herself and held onto her beliefs. The whole family aspect of the book was intriguing and I enjoyed seeing how close they all became.I was actually surprised by some of the things that happened and that they were not addressed. But then there were other things I figured out, or at least suspected. Clean, easy read.*A complimentary copy was provided in exchange for an honest review* less
