review 1: This was my first exposure to Scott Nicholson. I'd downloaded it as a suggestion from Amazon's Kindle App for iPhone. I love horror and scary / thriller type stories. This story hooked me in and I had to find out more about this writer. I own a lot of his books, now, and love his prolific take on different genre's. I suggest this book to anyone interested in finding a new fresh face and long term reading potential. Scott Nicholson fits the bill for it!
review 2: The basic problem with this novel waqs that of characterization. There were many characters but almost no character development. I like novels best when I feel I've really developed a relationship with the main character and perhaps some of the secondary characters as well. There was suspense b... moreut not artfully developed. There was more gore than I would have liked although thankfully not as graphic as it could have been. The setting was pretty good for a ghost story but even that ccould have been done better. All in all, i was disappointed by this book. The best thing about it was that it was a free download. less
