review 1: This is a solid collection of good stories my Scott Sigler. These are a good collection. My two favorite stories were Redman, which was excellent social commentary and Hunter and sons, which is a bizarre redneck family of monster hunters. this story really marks all the best things about Scott Sigler's style of writing. It has the horror element, and action that everyone loves, yet the humor that just makes laugh with a line of dialog. This is also the first story of a collection. I only gave this three stars largely because all the stories for me did not work as well as others. It was also a one day read, which is fine , just a little on the short side. This will wet your whistle for Sigler stories but I do think you do better with his novels. His novels really... more let him delve into the worlds and environments that he creates and that is when he really is at his prime.
review 2: While I had heard most of these on Scott's podcast, it was still fun to read them myself. Reading allows one to reread and go back, which is a bit harder in audio. Plus Scott is one of those authors that I like to reread (or realisten) to a lot. They are all good stories, but it definitely helps if the reader is familiar with Scott's full length novels. I'm sure something would be lost if the reader has never heard of him before. less

Awesome set of short stories that Scott should make into full novels.
