review 1: I really enjoyed this book but at first I thought it was going by a little slow for me but after reading the first couple chapters I started to enjoy it more. I loved the action going on with Maddy and dealing with her training to be a guardian.I loved being introduced to the new characters such as Susan, Tom and Kreuz. I really am looking forward to Battle Angel and I wonder who Maddy will choose
review 2: I give this book 2/5 stars because I thought it was sort of boring, and that the book had a slower pace than the first one, which I didn't really care for. I didn't like the "love triangle" between Maddy, Jacks, and Tom, especially since - (mini spoiler) - Tom went from one minute hating Maddy, to liking her, and then straight to love. Which is sort of ridic... moreulous considering they've had like five conversations together while her and Jacks share this giant past. I didn't care too much for the ending, but there was some good twists in the book. Plus, in the ending she's already made her choice, but then the book has a repetition of it where she chooses again - which I find unnecessary. Overall, this book just fell flat compared to the first one. less
