review 1: 2.5* It gets the extra half star for not having BDSM style sex scenes yet have some naughty bits. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I like a books with plenty of BDSM but just wasn't in the mood for it this time. But overall I found the characters boring, and during the whole book I was waiting for something interesting to happen, it just never did. I didn't particularly dislike the characters, I just didn't really care about them as I regularly do in other books. Disappointing book, feel like I wasted a week reading it when I could have read something much more gripping.
review 2: This was a good, fun story. I appreciate JJ's strong female character. She's just sure of herself. I also liked Trevor's alpha male role. He was what I would describe as full of himself.... more I liked their coming together story and watching them learn to blend their lives together. I like my stories a little more 'spicy' than this one but still a good read. I would recommend. Favorite moment and/or quotes from the story:Good friends. Family. Love. That's what life was about. Taking chances and being true to yourself.She was done living close to the vest. Life was too short. Too uncertain to hold back. Especially when she was sure of her feelings...Love was never too soon. Too much. less
