review 1: Shifter reunion Romance set in the bayous. It was a decent story, but it was short with not a much build up or development. Characters' reason for being apart was a little contrived- seriously, five minutes of conversation would have settled things. Heroine didn't seem to bat an eye over the discovery that hero was a werewolf even if she had suspicions before. Smoking hot passion, but not much in the way of action. Recommend for those who want something paranormal, quick and steamy.
review 2: I usually love erotica involving werewolves trying to deny their desire for their mate. This story had the makings of great erotica but it fell short. The characters were bland and had very little depth. Yes, one could argue that this was a short story of 98 pages and
... more short stories have little character building. I disagree however because it can be done. But I'm digressing. The sex was erotic but never made me squirm. How could an alpha werewolf not make me squirm? Maybe because I didn't really care for him or his mate. And good erotica requires that I like and or care for the characters in some manner. I am willing to read more of this series just to see if the books improve as the series evolves because there is much potential. less
