review 1: 4 1/2 stars. Really liked it. Very good, strong characters. Nice build up to romance. Exciting suspense. Spicy, but only a few well done scenes. Nice writing style with a good flow. I thought it was an interesting version of werewolf and human society. The only thing stopping it from a solid 5 star review for me was the fact I felt the final conflict between the H and the h ended way too quickly, and I thought the H got off WAY too easy.
review 2: I was gifted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.Sibyl Blackthorne was raised to act more like a man than a woman. She is devastated when her father dies and her uncle marries her mother. She is forced into accepting a marriage to a man she doesn't love and could never respect.
... moreDetermined to escape this fate Sibyl makes a plan to run away. Preferring to live like a peasant she is shocked when she comes across Wulvers. Men who can turn into wolves can't possibly exist...right?Raife saves Sibyl from the clutches of her fiancé. There is a connection between the two. The problem is Sibyl is human... and Raife is not. When the past and an old treaty come into play both Raife and Sibyl will have to fight for what they believe in.Really liked the whole aspect of wulvers that the author used. It was a little bit of a different spin on werewolves that made the story work. I loved Sibyl from the start. She was feisty and a fighter from the word go. And Raife was the ideal alpha mate.A definite must read. less
