review 1: This is a free novela set in Scotland. The heroine and hero were once a couple four years before when the girl's father sent the hero packing because he wasn't deemed good enough. So the hero (who is still in love with her) has come back (he's now successful graphic artist) to save her from getting into a loveless marriage approved by her parents...and hoping beyond hope she might still love him. So...he's tricked her into getting stuck in this tidal safety hut on the Scottish seashore...for a few hours she's a captive audience...or something like that. It's very sweet!
review 2: Stranded With a Scotsman is set in a high-tide look-out off the Scottish shore. The setting is vivid. Serenity had me smelling the not so sweet tide, feeling the hard walls of the spar... moretan, roofless shelter at my back, and shivering with delight at the sweet honesty of what happens between Cori and Ewan in that little box between island and mainland. My favorite scene involves the cutest game of Truth or Dare ever committed to the page. less
