review 1: A lot of business advice can contradict itself. This is the best book I've seen that attempts to reconcile the subtleties of both sides of compelling business arguments. For instance, we know mentorship is helpful, but some data suggests formal mentorship programs don't work - this will book explains how to make it work for everyone. I thought the advice was helpful and easy to understand with good supporting anecdotes. I always prefer more original research, but the author analyzed and synthesized others' information to good effect.
review 2: received this uncorrected proof from THeReadingRoom and HarperCollins Publishers. thank you.quick read about short cuts now named smart cuts for the inventors and innovators using parallel training to move to the head of
... morethe class. especially liked the story of the shoe designer and rocket company. it would seem that anyone can have an idea, but how they use past practiced experience with motivation can make all the difference. some of these ideas are similar to those proposed by Isaacson in his book "The Innovators." Parallel thought and action seems to be as importance as higher education and the people you know.loved the smooth feel of the paper on which this book was printed. font easy to read. felt the most interesting line was at the beginning of Part III Soar."Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" --Dr. Seuss (attributed) less
