review 1: It's a Disney-combating, toy-selling ploy, but I'm still excited to read Ever After High. The fairy tale slang might get old, but it's fun. Maddy Hatter is just a little on the cooky side, which makes seeing things from her perspective very interesting. She also has this bubbly, cheerful personality that makes you want to smile. I wonder whether she has that same effect on everyone in Ever After High.
review 2: I love Alice in Wonderland and so found the idea of this character very interesting. After watching all the webisodes I read this free book in preparation for writing a post on The Hatter and Alice. Maddie is a lovely character but I am uncertain why she is a Rebel when she embraces her future (as Cinderella's daughter also has conflicts but maintains
... moreher Royal status). I found the inclusion of King Lear's daughter in the story to be a bit annoying as King Lear had daughters in the play and that didn't end well. I look forward to further exploration of the other Wonderland characters in the Ever After High universe. less

Cute short introduction to the characters for the legends book. Perfect for a tween girl.
