review 1: “You do know that everything I have is yours, right? Till the end of time. I'm not just talking about money. I’m talking all of it. Heart, soul, body. All my hopes for the future. The places I want to see with you, the stories we’ll tell, our adventures together. The meals we’ll cook, the walks, the drives. All the nights together, all the mornings. Coffee and toast, conversations and jokes. All the winters and the springs and the summers and the falls. For as long as we get. All yours, Lara.”--Miles Davenport, Psychic Stud Extraordinaire AKA Lord of the CitadelCan't believe it. I have found my ultimate fiction boyfriend in Miles Davenport. This unexpectedly turned out to be not only my favorite McClouds book but also one of my all time book favorites. I am rende... morered speechless! Give me a minute or two or infinity to get my crap back together. Nothing like a surprise book sucker punch!
review 2: Known for her fast action and romantic situations, Shannon McKenna brings us another winner in Fatal Strike. When Lara Kirk was abducted months ago, Miles Davenport vowed he’d bring her home. But the mission failed with terrible and unusual complications. But now, after all of this time he finds her….in a most unusual and troubling way…with his mind.Lara Kirk lives in a shadowy world where reality and fantasy blurs. Enslaved by her captors and given large doses of experimental drugs, Lara has formed a deep attachment to a man she’s not sure is even real–until Miles bursts in to rescue her.Once freed Lara must learn to trust Miles as they run from enemies too twisted to imagine.Shannon has added lots of paranormal tricks to enhance (sorry–it’s a play on words) the story. There is some interesting back story about her parent’s death and their need to enhance one’s special gifts. The romance between the Miles and Lara is a bit quirky–they begin talking in their heads on a computer (?), I know sounds weird, but it kind of works. Anyway, if you are looking for escapist fiction, pick up a copy. (Besides how can you resist the cover!) (Debbie) less

DNF. I didn't make 75 pages. I have read her work before, but too much "psi" for me.
