review 1: Listened to on audio. Narrated by Macleod Andrews.4 stars for the narration. I like this narrator a lot. His performance is, as always, well paced and enjoyable to listen to.I'm not a huge fan of Shannon Stacey, to be honest, as I just don't 'get' her Kowalski series. However, I really loved this story. There's some real depth, emotion and well drawn characters. It's a classic love story of a man falling in love with his best friends widow. Yes, it's well trodden tale, but I felt this was particularly well done.
review 2: This book only takes 2 hour to listen to. I am actually not done with it yet but I can already tell that it is not my cup of tea. Because I don't read romance novels, I can't say how the novel stands up against other books in the genre.
... more I will say that while there was sex in the book thy it was handled rather tastefully. I will make one comment about the narrators. While I thought that the male narrator was not a bad choice for the main male character and he did an okay job with the female main character, he made the other women sound weird. less

A cute Christmas read. Not too deep but entertaining.
