review 1: I received this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this but everyone should know that while it looks like a stand alone I found that the story flows a lot better if you have read the other books. It is not a series but deals with many of the same characters as her other books and it just helps the book move along if you are familiar with the characters. This book is a pretty good historical romance. I enjoyed the story and the characters.

But at the same thing there are things that can shock Phin, "he'd been in the process of raising his glass to take a drink when he saw her. His hand stopped in mid-air. His gaze took in her gown, her hair, the jewels at her neck. "My God," he said." I really do love me some pirates and Phin especially. less
