review 1: I loved this story of love, passion, action as the race is on to bring home a much loved military seal along with Christy who is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She soon finds herself attacked by a big scary naked man with a lot of power who over takes her, brings her down to the ground thinking she is in the middle of his military friend coming up missing. Oh what it would be like to have a naked alpha male grab you and hold you down, how scary that would be. She thinks OMG I am going to be raped and killed only to have big blue eyes looking down at you demanding answers to questions you have none for. The author writes a compelling story that will keep you on the edge of your seat why giving you wonderful passion, humor and love that will tear you apart when two yo... moreung people fall in love and can’t be together because of the danger it will bring. They fight for love and against it why trying to find the friend and take down the drug dealers. You have danger, passion mixed with fear, love, needs and wants as the author takes you through the many twist and turns that could find them dead she leaves you with your heart in your hands as you race to turn the pages to find out what she has in store for you next.Christy is caught in the middle as she falls hard for Kyle, Kyle is trying his best to do what is right and keep Christy out of it. Christy finds herself right in the middle not knowing who to trust and which way to turn. All Christy knows is her need for this big strong man who holds her heart and she deals with him pulling away from her. She tries to move on as she starts her new life in a new town but everything always comes back to Kyle. Kyle is a wonderful, caring, giving hunk of a seal, he must find his friend who is in his unit before time runs out and he ends up dead. He is in his friends bedroom getting some rest before he goes on the hunt to bring him back. He wakes up and there is a women, he can’t let her leave. Why is she here? Did they send her to kill him, or is she on the hunt for information? Whatever her reason for being here he can’t let her go.This is a book full of passion, love, wants, and needs as they go on a mission to bring home one of their own from drug dealers who want more than drugs. I totally enjoyed and loved this story I found myself laughing and chuckling through the whole story. The author brings much laughter and a few tears as she holds you spellbound on a race against time. The only issue I had with it was I expected Christy to be a stronger character, she come on strong and then went weak but came back strong again. I just expected her to kick butt all through the book. I have read this book and listened to it on audio and I can’t decide which one I like the best. Would I read or listen to this book again you bet I would. This is a story I would enjoy reading again and again. If you haven’t picked up the audio you might want to think about it. J.D. Hart bring the characters to life with his smooth sweet voice. You will laugh as he brings his many different voice to a wonderful read.
review 2: What would you do if you walked into your first open house as a realtor to find a naked (albeit handsome) man asleep in the bad? If you are Christy Nelson, you try to leave as quietly and quickly as possible. Sure that your obnoxious co-worker set this up as a prank. Quickly the situation escalates and bound by pantyhose is how this story starts.Enter Navy Seal, Kyle Lansdowne. He doesn't get involved in relationships since he is married to the Navy. He loves them, and leaves them. And yet, he is back. Christy has that something that he has been missing his entire life. When one of his team members family members, Armando, comes up missing - his marriage to the team shows even more. Christy is left alone and unable to get this mystery man out of her head."It would be difficult to let her go, like she belonged to him already. Or maybe he needed something she had. Something he would protect."The entire story I was on pins and needles waiting to hear about another body. I was eager to know how the team was going to handle a loss like Armando. I am incredibly new to this particular genre. I was not aware there was a sub-genre catering to this particular storyline. This book appealed to many aspects of my life. 1) I was born and raised in San Diego and the references to them boys running on the beach, well my best friend and I knew their schedule VERY well. 2) I was raised a Navy brat. The other thing that I really enjoyed was how many layers the story had. While the romantic aspects stayed present throughout the story, it almost played second fiddle to the rest of the story. I really enjoyed meeting Mia and Mama Guzman. I loved walking around with Kyle and Christy and seeing the sights. The book was incredibly well-written and intriguing to say the least.Kyle's team consisted of some my favorite male supporting characters in a novel to date. Coop might have been my favorite with lines like this one:"I know about the equipment and how to make it purr. I know where to put the oil and where to put the grease." - He winked. I would give this book 4 stars! I found myself praying for the safety of the men on their mission, cursing the dirty law enforcement and morning the loss of lives to protect the innocent. You felt Kyle's intense love for Christy in his stolen glances, even though he never spoke the words. You felt her need for him. I am glad to have had the opportunity to read this book, and look forward to reading the other members of Seal Team 3's stories. less
