review 1: I found this book slightly slow in the beginning, but as things began to pick up, the story became quite fascinating.Like with most YA novels of the paranormal lean, this novel involves Vasi, our main character and member of the Syndicate that is mean to kill someone that he assumes to be a hybrid; a human that has been bitten and infected with a virus that will turn him into a crazed, angry person that is bent on harming others. However, his sister and scout Rosie finds out his target is not a hybrid at all. She's a girl and girls can never turn into a hybrid. Something is up and Vasi knows this.Vasi grows over time and so does his intended target Riley. Vasi has a difficult decision to make; kill the target or protect her because deep down, he knows something about the h... moreit isn't quite right.I found a few parts of the story to be a bit predictable, one portion not so predictable but still, the story was good. I'm curious as to where it will go next.
review 2: I liked it, but not as much as I hoped. I don't at all regret reading it though.It starts off great, but then it's all just pretty much romance, romance I didn't enjoy (but then I've always been picky with that genre), and there were a lot of things unexplained. Then it picked up at about 60% I think it was. I was expecting it to be a series though.. I was kinda surprised when I remembered it wasn't. less
