review 1: My favorite aspect of this book was the voice. The main character, Chloe, had such a distinct personality and I really felt like I knew who she was. I think some of the subplots could have been developed a bit more. Overall, I think the best part of this book was the character development. I especially loved the relationship between the main character and the grandmother. While I haven’t had to watch someone live with Parkinson’s, I definitely have a greater understanding and compassion for those who do.
review 2: I think this is a great story. I had a bit of trouble getting into the first few chapters but it eventually "bettered." Is there such an expression or did I invent it?! I do not like the expression "coming of age" and don't really gravitate to "
... morecoming of age books." So I won't even use that expression here. This was a story of people of all ages having life problems of different sorts and dealing with them. It was about relationships and "stuff." I really liked Chloe's character, and Dunc, too. less
