review 1: hmmmm. How to rate this book? It's very poorly written, but I was kind of expecting that. It's like the Duck Dynasty wine in Wal-Mart. Has anyone really ever bought that expecting a fine wine? There is a lot of forced rhyme. The meter is way off, so jumbled that I probably couldn't read it out loud to a group, but it's also laugh out loud funny in a few places. I can't say that I hate it, but I'm also not in love with it, either.
review 2: Of course there's a Duck Dynasty children's book! Capitalizing on their Duck Dynasty fame, the Robertson family has written a cute rhyming story about why everything is better with a beard. Of course it’s a fad, but it also harmless and amusing. My only quibble is on the lifeguard page where it says that a beard “keeps li... moreps from chapping and cheeks from sunburn,” yet the man’s cheeks and lips are still exposed to the sun. Kids will overlook that minor detail. less
