review 1: I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun, fast read. I adored Kalem and thought the disastrous Helen was hysterical. The banter between the characters was really fun and the relationships were very well defined. I also loved the side stories and characters. You get a lot of information in this book about a lot of different people, but it never felt overwhelming. There were some grammatical errors and there were a few places where names were given and I didn't recognize them and had to catch up quickly with who they were. It would have been helpful for those names to be given (like Kalem's parents when they are first introduced, you just get their names...not who they are). Obviously, it wasn't enough to make me drop the stars. I can't wait to find more by this author and s... moreee some of her other work.
review 2: I will state up front that I absolutely LOVE chick lit/romcoms, so my review may be biased towards the genre... ;)I was already a fan of Sibel Hodge after reading the first in her Amber Fox series. Fourteen Days Later is definitely a little different. Where Amber Fox was more Janet Evanovich/Stephanie Plum, this book was Marian Keyes with humor and romance.I loved learning of the Turkish Cypriot family dynamics, especially from an outsider's point of view. Kalem was completely hot, and I was rooting for him from absolutely page one.Sibel makes reading fun and fast, as every page of her books make me feel happy. She's witty, her books are well-written, and I can't wait to read the sequel (which sounds even funnier than this one!)  less
