review 1: This is the second book by Sibylla that I've read, the first being In the Firelight. For the most part I enjoyed Because of Kian, maybe because I love a loving, alpha hero. Before it was revealed I had figured out what our H/h were into, what their proclivities were. I myself am not a fan of such proclivities but I do think their encounters were very hot. What I did not like about this book was the format. I have noticed that more & more authors are including playlists in their novels. That's fibs, I actually like that as it's put me on to some good songs. What I didn't like is how there's a song list at the start of every chapter. The list at the end was good enough.
review 2: What I loved most about this book: the kinbaku. The passion and mild kink was beauti
... moreful, and is what made me give this book 4 stars rather than 3. Kian was the perfect alpha male; unrealistically perfect, but he needed to be to offset the mess that is Brynn. I wasn't able to fully understand and accept why she had the walls and hang ups like she did, but I am glad we got to see some character growth from her. less
