Worth the Fight
review 1: This was another amazing book by Sidney Halston in the Worth The Fight series. This is the second book and I highly recommend that new readers read this series in order though each book features a different couple, these stories are intertwined. Jessica is a bartender who survived an attack by her abusive boyfriend, Dennis. Slade is a MMA fighter turned gym owner and trainer who helped Jessica as her body healed. There is strong chemistry between these two fantastic characters that had me eagerly turning the pages to read more of. This well written story has a wonderful blend of romance, humor, drama and suspense that will draw readers in. It also has a incredible cast of secondary characters that I now find myself eagerly awaiting their own stories and this is plent... morey of additional tales hinted in this book. I am keeping my eyes on this series!
review 2: ARC provided by publisher via Netgalley in exchange for honest review.I loved this book! Slade is so freakin' yummy, and the chemistry between him and Jessica is both off the charts hot and hilarious.I did not read the first book in this series, but it's not that hard to catch up and understand how everyone knows each other. The only thing I was a bit unsure about is when the incident between Jessica and her douchetwat ex took place, I don't know if it happened at the end of the first book or not, but really, once you get into the story, that part pretty much becomes irrelevant. There is a bit of the usual angst one finds in these books (like all of Slade's groupies), but the secondary plot of Dennis are what make up the majority of the issues in this story. Thankfully that all gets resolved, but not before it becomes a circus. And there are at least two, maybe three more books I could see happening by the end of this story, and I can't wait to read them. I believe that Tony and Francesca's story will be an absolute riot. less
