review 1: Kick ass as always. I love Secret!. I am more than a little upset at Lucas and the stunts he pulled in the book. I understand that he needs to do what is best for his pack, but what he does to get his way ticks me off. He is like a little boy who has to get his way. He reminds me a little bit of my 8th grade students. I am totally for Desmond and am rooting for them. I hope they are able to overcome Lucas' manipulations of Secret which I do not think he is done with.
review 2: *SPOILERS*I can deal with Lucas Rain being a total asshole. I never liked him. So I'm not surprised by HIS shitty behavior. What I CANNOT STAND is Secret LITERALLY lying down and taking it! W-T-F!? The FORCED mating and the ridiculous proposal! ANY woman with ANY self respect, met... moreaphysical BULLSHIT be damned, would walk over to him and slug him! UGH! If it weren't for all the Lucas related bullshit I would have LOVED this book. This is the first time I thought the mystery wasn't kinda predictable. I love Desmond, and even Holden. And the Demon story line was very interesting. But her marrying that giant asshole is ruining everything for me. And to reward that shitty behavior by having sex with him.. GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK. At this point I don't know if I'm going to move on to the next book. But I think not. If I have to read about her "understanding" Lucas because of the stupid mating I'm going to throw the book against a wall. less
