review 1: I really enjoyed this. I woke up sick one night thought if I read a few chapters I would be able to go back to sleep so I started this book, I was unable to put it down and read the whole book in one sitting. Very fast paced, kept me on thr edge of my seat wondering what would happen. The ending was unpredictable and was definitely not what I suspected. This was the first book I tried by Simon kernick and it certainly will not be the last. GREAT READ!!
review 2: An utterly chilling story. I could feel my heart pounding as I read it. At night I had nightmares. Not for the faint hearted. An excellent read and highly recommended. This was my first Simon Kernick book and I have already bought his first novel 'The Business of Dying'. I am planning to read all his n... moreovels as I really like his fast paced way of writing which keeps your adrenaline levels high. Well done Simon, keep on writing. less
