review 1: Loved this little quick read! I think it took me like 15 minutes. This one is about how the lives of two couples are forever changed when they come across a naked girl in the Scottish highlands. Tara is escaping from a maniac who was holding her prisoner in a basement, when she stumbles upon Ash, Guy, Nick and Tracy. The four of them are on holiday and enjoying a nice hiking session. When they decide to help Tara, all hell breaks loose and we are taken on a thrill ride that kept me anxiously turning the pages. Excellent read!

... moreding. I did so and immediately understood why Simon Kernick is such a much loved author. This really is a story of simply being I the wrong time at the wrong place and this sparked my interest in reading crime stories and thrillers. I sincerely recommend reading this short story. less
