I devoured it and found myself encouraged, challenged, convicted, and inspired on every page.The depth from which Ferguson writes can only come from a man who has walked intimately with Christ for many years. The subtitle of this volume is not some sort of gimmick. The author is truly amazed by God's grace and it comes out again and again.Truly, one could take single chapters from this book and write entire books on each of them because of the richness and depth of each page.This one is going on my list of books to revist again and again because the truths it explores are timeless and returning to them throughout my walk with Christ seems so very necessary.

T... morehe book is a collection of meditations on the Gospel that feature hymn lyric and exposition of relevant Scripture passages.I highly recommend this book. It is readable (I simply read a chapter a day for roughly a week's time period) and engaging (Ferguson's exposition of the Gospel is crystal clear). While you will probably not find anything 'new' in this work, a healthy reminder of the "old, old, story" is always profitable to the soul. less
