review 1: This was a lovely short read, took me only two hours and that’s because I was interrupted. I loved it so much that it’s going on my TRG (to-read-again) list. Alex is a strong man who had been dealt a very bad hand in life. Losing one mate and never having the chance to say goodbye has him carrying around a pain that he believes no one can take away. Sarah has also lost a mate but she has almost no time to mourn because she has to take care of her son. Hunted by a demon mother and son take refuge with Alex and soon three people are able to put aside the pain of the pass and make a future. This is a great introduction into Cloudburst, Colorado a new series by Siobhan Muir. I cannot wait to learn more about this world and meet more sexy couples

... moreugh I am not a big fan of the short story, this story was able to pull me in straight away to the town of Cloudburst in Colorado. There was a little bit of background so you didn't feel completely adrift but not enough to take up too much space. The storyline was well planned and the action (both between the sheets and out) was paced very nicely. You don't know why the demons attacked Sarah's village in the first place but this doesn't cause too much of a worry. I finished this story in about an hour but have immediately come on line to see if the author has written any more about Cloudburst as I want to know more. This means a job well done in my book! And to my delight, there is one more book which has immediately gone on my wishlist.Take a chance with this book, even if you don't like short stories. I did and I'm happy I did. less
