review 1: I have NEVER had such misfortune when reading a book as i had reading this TRASH! I am beyond livid. I feel as if she would have been better off dying in the last book. The events in this book are horrible and the paltry excuse for an ending just made it worse because the author was clearly trying to make up for the horrid events that took place beforehand. I hate feeling that i wasted time reading something.
review 2: I've been a big fan of the Dark Light series since reading book 1 and waited anxiously for the release of this book. I dived into it right away, but found myself a little lost since it had been so long since I'd read book 2. I eventually went back and skimmed parts of the second book to refresh my memory. Once I did that, I was back on track and
... more this story had my rapt attention. Unlike the earlier books in the series, I found myself being a little less forgiving of Dorian. Gabriella just seemed to be a little bit too much of a pushover where he was concerned. I mean, how many times can he ditch you for the same tramp and get off with an "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it." I'm usually pretty devoted to my book boyfriends, but I really felt that a roll in the hay with Niko would have been awesome! While this story was great and did deliver a HEA that has me hoping for a follow-up story, I did feel like there was a lot of build-up at times for nothing. There were several parts where I expected some big, angsty, emotional climax and it just kind of ended up being anticlimactic. Everything worked out the way I wanted, but for all the prep for the "big event" it really didn't seem like a big deal at all once it'd happened. There just didn't seem to be as much focus on the delivery as the build-up, I guess. If that makes any sense at all.All in all, I still wouldn't have passed this book up. Yes, I would have liked some more details and a little more angst at some points, but it was still a great conclusion and the Dark Light series is still one of my favorites. For someone that doesn't love a lot of paranormal stories, this series sucked me in and made me a fan! less

Didn't want him to die... Even thigh Thanksgiving dinners might be a little awkward. :/
