He’ll settle for being her friend, her protector, keeping the nightmares away…yeah, how long will that last? Can Anna prove to Russ how important he really is? Despite being warned time after time to stay away, will the temptation be too much?Acting on Temptation is a great story of new beginnings, healing, love, tragedy, surprises, and the importance of friends. We see more of our friends from Lying with Temptation and the development of relationships started there, but we are also left with quite a few new questions unanswered. Hopefully all those questions will be answered in Fighting Temptation.
review 2: Anna met Russ over a year ago when her big sister, Gabby went away to college. Russ is a “man Whore.” Anna has nightmares after her boyfriend beat her right before she left for college. To help with her nightmares, Russ sleeps next to Anna to comfort her. Russ has feeling for Anna, but he thinks it is better if they just keep their relationship as friends. He feels that Anna deserves someone better than him.Russ is a great guy and it upset me that he always thought that there was always someone better for Anna than himself. Russ sees Anna with a bunch of jerks so I could not understand why he thought he wasn’t good enough for her just because he had a reputation of sleeping around. I liked Anna’s character and Russ was wonderful. Even though it frustrated me that he did not think he was good enough for Anna, I loved that in his own way he was protective of her and showed her how much he cared.There were parts of the story that I thought were too wordy. The conversations seemed awkward at times, even though I knew what the author’s intent was in the story.Even though some parts of the relationship with Russ and Anna frustrated me, I am glad that it began as a friendship that developed into something more.A copy was provided in exchange for an honest review. less
