review 1: This novel is definitely fluff, so please do not go into it thinking you will emerge laden with universal truths about teen cancer and sisterhood. Some elements are just entirely fantastical, and some characters (namely Ted--and how is Ted a nickname for Edwina?) are a bit irritating and redundant. I felt the author treated the cancer victim, Ava, more tenderly and realistically. This was a nice, quick, brainless read, but not a MUST read.
review 2: Ted wanted to become a model and had the opportunity to but when her sister gets cancer she wants to quit and take care of her sister so her sister doesn't let her quit then she has to overcome the obstacles and become both a super model and a caring sister. The themes in this book are; compassion, family loyalty... more, overcoming obstacles, acceptance, definition of family, sacrifice, responsibility, and facing challenges. less
