review 1: OK, this was way more heartwarming (yes, I said heartwarming) than I was expecting. For some reason when I read the synopsis I totally figured she was pregnant....probably from reading too many Harlequin novels. I did have another theory that turned out to be correct, but it was still nice to have it not be the obvious plot twist. I really liked the way Ms. Oak dealt with Gaby's struggles. It was real, and effective. I ended up really enjoying this novella as a result. I loved the backgrounds of Gaby and Cal, and loved watching them come back to each other. I especially love how Gaby ran with Cal's offering to her....laughed so hard, what a spunky girl. Now I just want my own Gay murse....I think Chris needs his own story. :)
review 2: Overall I liked
... morethis book and what he did to her because he felt hurt was COLD. Yet in his defense he didn't know about why she walked away from him and he was just striking out from his own hurt. Once he finds out, he tries to make things right. I really liked that she did use that word and I understood why she would at that point. But what he did later to show her that he truly cared . . . that was a wonderful gesture on his part. It meant that he really cared, and trusted her IMHO and I really enjoyed that he could do that for her. less

Kind of reminds me of old-school Linda Howard, only with more (light) BDSM and less espionage.
