review 1: This book did not really work out for me, even though it stand higher than most erotic romances. The characters were easy to like and could have been really good ones, had they been developed. The plot was ok and more credible than most, until the artificial grand finale, which really made me cringe, all the more so that it served absolutely no purpose in the story, just to have the villain look even meaner, stupider and madder. But it was not useful at all. What I really missed in this book was a bit more context and understanding in the characters before the story starts. Some things just did not seem to work out, as they were, especially regarding the relationship that was not a relationship but might have been one for one of them, between the two men. It left me confused... more and thinking that it felt fake.
review 2: I liked this book, but not as much as I liked her books set in Bliss, Colorado. I wasn't expecting anything emotionally riveting or anything, but it was kind of a case of insta-love for the characters, and I tend to not enjoy that as much. I felt like the book was too short, and kind of ended abruptly. The details of the relationship could have been expounded upon more fully, but I know the next book in this series is with the same characters, so maybe I will get to know them better in the second book. Overall, the scenes were pretty steamy, and there was a good flow to the story. less
